I'm Amanda Conley. 23 years old, married, mother of one. I draw, paint, digital paint, and animate with both the computer and with clay. I am working to restart an old webcomic and begin a new one. I know a lot about art. It may not seem like it from my less-than-remarkable gallery, I suppose. Part of the reason my own art isn't as good as it could be is because I have no depth perception. I have such good eyesight that everything looks like a snapshot to me. :/ It's a handicap in a way. It's weird. I sometimes kick things while I am walking because of it, and I have to be very timid about not pulling in front of people when I drive. I'm surprised I don't walk right into walls. I draw mostly from my head, occasionally from life. I normally only look at photographs for rough ideas of what details of some things look like. I often go out into the woods and try to draw the trees, but things like that seem to be too chaotic for me to master. I tend to zero in on movement and emotion, the things that make the most sense to me. Hopefully someone out there can appreciate it someday.

Things I like to critique:

-Digital paintings & drawings (Fantasy, science fiction, and anthro preferred)
-Traditional paintings (fantasy and realism preferred)
-Colored pencil drawings (Any!)
-Comics (Any!)
-Animation (Any!)

Things I sometimes critique but do not specialize in:

-Abstract art
-Photography
-Manga/cartoon

Things I prefer not to critique but will if specifically asked to:

-Advertising/promotional designs
-Urban art
-Landscapes
-Figure drawings
-Nudes & fetish

Things I will NOT critique:

-Photomanipulations (sorry dudes, that's a craft, not an art.)
-Painted-over photos (That's not even a craft, that's just stupid.)
-Art produced by graphing photos.

Those who risk, win - if theres something in life you want, reach out and Grab it!
having no depth perception, doesn't mean you can't draw, just means you can't walk very well or see as well.

But you could still get anatomy books and study from that. An artist finds a way to improve. If you're really dedicated, you'll get better =D

Dedication seems like an eye of the beholder type of concept.

It is only an auctioneer who can equally and impartially admire all schools of art.
